Abstract
The results of the Yamoussoukro Mixed School and BAD study indicate that immediate and underlying factors are behind early pregnancy. The immediate factors are essentially economic, psychosociological and communicative; they concern the difficulties of the daily life of teenage girls students who led them to be in pregnancy. The underlying factors relate to the phenomena in depth that led to those experienced by teenage students. They primarily concern the socio-political crisis, the precariousness of the parents' socio-economic living conditions and unemployment. In addition, teenage pregnancy in schools has disastrous consequences for health, school performance and family social relationships.
